FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. When do I register for the various programs?
A. Registration forms are distributed throughout the public schools to each eligible child. A packet of forms is also left at Holy Cross and Rumson Country Day schools.  The schedule for distribution is as follows: baseball/softball/teeball/lacrosse in December, soccer/summer camps/flag football/summer hoops in April, and basketball in September.

Q. Who is eligible for the various recreation programs in town?
A. Any Rumson resident. Within each sport there are specific grade/age requirements: Baseball/Softball are for grades K-8; Soccer is for grades K-8; Basketball is for grades 1-8; Flag Football is for 5, 6, 7, or 8 years of age (5 year olds must be 5 prior to August 1); Boys Lacrosse is for grades 3-8; Girls Lacrosse is for grades 3-8; Lacrosse Clinic is for boys and girls in K-2 grades; Soccer Camp is for 5-14 years olds; and Summer Hoops is for grades 3-8.
