SUMMER PLAYGROUND
The Summer Recreation program is operated as an open, structured public
program. The program provides arts and crafts, basketball,
soccer, tennis, wiffle ball, and organized board and sports
games. Trish Docherty supervises a staff of teen-age counselors.
The program runs Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM. The
program will begin on July 2, 2007 and end on August 3, 2007.
The program is for children 6 years and older.
Children must be 6 years old by October 15, 2007 to attend and 6 year olds only must
have a birth certificate to register. The program will be held
at Victory Park. All children must remain on premises during
park hours unless a note is sent by the parent or the parent is
picking up early. The program will be canceled if it rains
before and during park hours. Arrangements should be made to
pick up your child if it rains during park hours. Please
register your child before the program begins. There will be no
registration at the park itself.
Pick up registration forms at
the Borough Hall during May and June. If your child is
in school look for the forms to come home with your child. The
cost of the program is $30 payable to Rumson Recreation. This
program is for Rumson residents only. For more information
