RUMSON LAUNCHES NEW EMERGENCY RADIO STREAMING
This new service is designed to extend the reach of Rumson's low-power emergency radio broadcasts, normally heard on 1630 AM. When you are out of range of this signal, you can now hear these emergency broadcasts using your computer or Smartphone from anywhere in the world that provides internet access. From any computer, go to the Rumson website home page (http://www.rumsonnj.gov) and click on the Emergency Radio Listen Live link on the left-hand navigation panel. You should begin to hear the signal in about 30 seconds. It is our goal to keep all Rumson residents apprised of all emergency procedures so that everyone stays safe. With this new streaming service, we continue to enhance our capability to do so. Emergency Broadcast streaming services are being provided by SurferNETWORK, LLC, one of the originators in Internet Broadcasting.
