Cleaning, Inspecting and rehabilitating nearly 35,000 linear feet of The Borough's sanitary sewer piping < Back Sewer Rehabilitation Program Cleaning, Inspecting and rehabilitating nearly 35,000 linear feet of The Borough's sanitary sewer piping Project Summary The Borough of Rumson has contracted with National Water Main Cleaning Co., of Kearny, New Jersey for the cleaning, inspection, and rehabilitation of the Borough’s sanitary sewer piping throughout the municipality. The project will clean, inspect and rehabilitate nearly 35,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer piping in the Borough to reduce extraneous sewer flows (typically, ground water infiltration) and extend the useful life of the sanitary sewer system. The funding for this project is available in part through the Federal COVID-19 response and recovery funds, The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). Work for this project is contained to the pipes underground. No significant disruption is anticipated for residents. Trucks and equipment will be staged within the roadway near manholes to access the sanitary sewer system. The positioning of vehicles and equipment in the roadway may pose minor impacts to local traffic. Project Gallery Previous Next

The Meadow Ridge Park Improvement Project was presented as part of the Monmouth County Parks System in 2023. < Back Meadow Ridge Park The Meadow Ridge Park Improvement Project was presented as part of the Monmouth County Parks System in 2023. *All plans and project renderings are subject to modifications throughout project* Update: June19, 2025 Meadow Ridge Park remains open to the public; however, please be aware that construction is still ongoing. The Borough of Rumson is currently waiting for the new walkway material, which is expected to arrive within the next few weeks. In addition, crews are trimming trees throughout the park to ensure adequate light coverage for the newly installed light posts. For everyone’s safety and to help us complete the project as quickly as possible, we kindly ask visitors to avoid the active construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Update: April 11, 2025 Meadow Ridge Park Temporary Trail Map .pdf Download PDF • 2.76MB Precise Construction has continued progress on site preparation to re-grade the areas for the proposed play equipment, swings, and fitness equipment along with areas of the expanded parking lot and bus loop. Quality Electric has continued the installation of the light pole foundations. The play equipment began taking shape this week, with the installer focusing on the play equipment closest to the expanded parking lot. With so much construction activity, access to the park was modified to ensure the safety of park users. Access to the park will temporarily be on the west and east ends of the parking lots as currently signed. Access to the restrooms and batting cages will remain as they have, until the parking lot drainage, curbing and walkway improvements get underway. The walking/jogging trail has been temporarily detoured away from the work zones and can be viewed on the trail map. Please keep mindful of construction activity as we strive to keep the park open during the project. Update: March 14, 2025 Construction for the Meadow Ridge Park Improvement Project is underway! Please use caution when in the parking lot and be aware of your surroundings. The Meadow Ridge Park Improvement Project will be a significant enhancement to one of our community’s most popular public parks. This project will include: Expanded Parking Lot – Increasing the capacity of the existing lot. Improved Traffic Flow & Pedestrian Access – Enhancing safety for both vehicle circulation and park visitors. Upgraded Drainage Infrastructure – Ensuring better water management and park preservation. New Playground & Exercise Equipment – Installing modern play structures and state-of-the-art fitness stations. During construction, Meadow Ridge Park will remain open, though the parking lot will experience temporary and partial closures. The project is funded through a combination of the Borough of Rumson Capital Improvement Fund and a $331,000 grant from the Monmouth County Open Space Grant Program.
